I received a high school diploma from the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Math and Science in 2017 with the title of honors with distinction. I also received a high school diploma from South Warren High School in 2017. In addition, I will have completed math/physics double major at Northeastern University at the end of this summer. While at Gatton and at South Warren, I mainly focused on Math and Chemistry, but I switched to studying physics when I went to NEU.

I have been tutoring in some capacity or another since middle school, and I don't have any intention of stopping since I seem to have a knack for it. I am most comfortable with teaching high school/early college chemistry, ACT and SAT prep, and both physics and math even up to a graduate level. My favorite subjects to tutor are those in which serious thought and deep understanding are required, so really any subject is game as long it is approached with great curiosity. And while I have no issue helping with immediate problems in learning, I have had the most success when I have the chance to teach in a first-principles centric fashion. Further, I see the role of a tutor as being someone who can place high expectations upon a student while also providing the resources necessary for the student to meet those expectations.

Success is highly dependent on communication of what issues a student is having as well as any questions the student has, which is where curiosity and motivation are so crucial. My mom often says that she does not have a magic wand that she can wave to make things better; similarly, I cannot make things better for a student unless they are willing to put in work. Regardless of how smart a person is, hard work is always necessary.
