I am a graduate of the University of Oxford, UK, having studied chemistry, specializing in physical chemistry. I hold a Ph.D. in chemical biophysics from Imperial College London. I have worked as a research scientist in the UK, US, and South Korea and taught for many years at colleges and universities. I have been passionate about teaching throughout my career; teaching and training students have always been a critical part of my job. Since the move back to the US from a few years in Korea as a research scientist, I decided to start on a path to become a chemistry and physics educator at high school and college (currently I hold a faculty position at Monroe Community College).

I have the experience and knowledge (math, chemistry, and physics) to help you achieve your goals.

Hobbies

I run, snowboard, bike, and generally love being active. I rowed when I studied at Oxford University and enjoy time-trialing on my Concept 2 rowing machine! I love science and religion debate/books (John Lennox, Paul Davies, Richard Dawkins, etc) and the mysteries of the human mind and consciousness (Roger Penrose, for example). I also love reading about math stories; how are we doing on Millenium Prize Problems for example?; what does it mean to accept Godel's Incompleteness Theorem?; what is the implication of Universal Turning Machine and undecidability in math? Finally, I love to read and watch anything to do with Rome (historical and fictional).
