My number one goal is to make math fun, applicable, and (most importantly) achievable. I love having students realize the beauty of math and moving them towards an understanding that math is all around us. From the simplest algebra equation to the most complex calculus problem, math surrounds us in our everyday lives, even when we don't realize it! My teaching style is one that aids students in a deep, conceptual understanding of the content, rather than memorizing steps or solely using patterns to solve problems. I taught precalculus and calculus in high school for three years, and taught calculus at the University of Hartford for one semester as an adjunct professor. I am adept at catching student mistakes and filling in the conceptual gaps that caused these mistakes. I attended the University of Connecticut, where I double majored in math and math education, and also completed a master's degree in curriculum and instruction (with a focus on math education). Math is my passion, and I love giving students the tools and resources they need to succeed. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, doing yoga, recording podcasts, and playing board games.
