I am a product of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District- I attended school there from the first through the twelfth grade. After graduation, I went to Cuyahoga Community College and obtained an Associates of Arts Degree. From there, I transferred to Case Western Reserve University and received a Bachelor's in Education K-8 and a Reading Endorsement K-12. A few years later, I returned to Case Western Reserve University and graduated with a Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science.
我有一个永久/一生的教学执照。我的助教ught for many years in the Cleveland School District. During my years of teaching in the schools, I generally worked with at risk students. My primary field is Language Arts (Reading, English, and Writing). I also taught Spanish I for three years. I really enjoy working with the at risk students because after assessments, I measure the results to see their success. This is very rewarding for the student as well as for me.

I've always had a passion and a desire for teaching/tutoring. My experiences involved working with a multi-ethnic-multi-age population. Many years of teaching taught me to communicate well with students, parents, faculty and administrators. Teaching and tutoring has enriched my life. I really appreciate and enjoy working in this capacity.

我是一个人非常:耐心,鼓励,compassionate, understanding, empathetic dedicated, engaging, flexible and kind. I'm very driven to accommodate students' needs.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that educators are lifelong learners. Professional development or other alternatives to keep abreast in the education field is extremely important for teachers in order to be well informed about various teaching methods and new trends. For the educator, teaching involves learning to assess, plan and reassess.

Students learn from their teachers as well as from their peers. In turn the teacher also learns from his/her students. Throughout the process of observing and interacting with students, teachers can learn how to accommodate their needs.

Also, as educators, we must keep in mind that students have different learning styles and they can learn more easily when using the proper style(s) that is best for them. Students need to be encouraged, guided through the educational process and be fully cognizant of their ability to learn.

Extra Curricular Activities:
Going to church, studying the Bible, Studying Spanish, Traveling, going to the movies, and walking in the park
