Adaptable, energetic and passionate business professional, I love helping students of all ages explore and connect learning to real-world problems. I am excited to use my 20+ years of business, technology and education experience - including 3 years of tutoring 1st - 4th grade and high school students - to guide students on the pathway of learning. In my years of experience as a Special Education Inclusion teacher and an E-learning teacher, I enjoyed helping students discover ways to understand and utilize math concepts. I have an uncanny ability to break down complicated concepts to simple steps and also challenge students to higher-level thinking.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. I majored in Computer Science and Business Administration and minored in Drama. Recently, I completed my Transition to Teaching certification to obtain licensure in secondary education - Computer Science.

I primarily tutor in math and computer science. However, I also have public speaking experience and strong communication skills. While my degree is in Computer Science, I think my favorite topic is algebra. I find joy in discovering the value of variables!

As I tutor students, I do not give answers. I have conversations with students, ask questions and teach them techniques to help them find the answers. I value the process of learning how to learn. This process is unique to each individual. I believe every individual has the potential to learn, some may already know how they learn; others are still discovering what works best for them. I work to help students discover their learning process.

In my free time I enjoy fitness, food, playing sports, hanging out with friends and snuggling with my puppy.
