I am a Social Studies/History Educator of 31 years. I have a BA and an MA in History . I am a New York State Certified teacher for 7--12 grades. I am also a Nationally Board Certified teacher. I have also taught college level education courses. I love the social sciences and particularly history. I also enjoy middle school and high school kids who I think are funny and smart way more than they get credit for! I enjoy working with students and laughing with them. To be a great teacher you need to know your content area and you need to like kids and enjoy people. I am super creative and like to write and do music. I play rock, folk, and jazz guitar and I am working currently on writing a novel. However, my great love is to read both history and fiction. Teaching has been the great passion and love of my life.
