我是一个刚毕业的洛约拉大学的太极拳cago, with both a Biology and Bioinformatics BS(2021) and a Bioinformatics MS(2022). I am also starting my PhD at the University of Chicago this fall! My focus at Loyola mainly revolved around the microbiome and computational biology; completing my thesis work studying Celiac disease and the microbiome in the Burns lab. I have experience teaching biology at the college level, at Loyola I was responsible for teaching general biology I and II. I am experienced teaching a wide variety of biological subject matter, however I also have expertise in the realm of computational biology and bioinformatics. I am well versed in R, python and java and how to apply these coding languages to obtain meaningful results from large datasets. It is my goal to make science not only fun and interesting, but also accessible. I will adapt my teaching style to meet the individual needs of each student, and provide interesting and relevant real world examples of biological concepts to illustrate how biology can affect one's everyday life. I spend much of my spare time at the beach with my 6 year old chihuahua Suzy, at the gym or watching movies with friends.
