I am a middle/high school teacher who studied at Grand Canyon University for degrees in English for secondary education and in English for professional writing. Since I used to tutor students in their writing skills, I have over 5 years of experience working with students between 5th grade through doctoral level. Currently, I teach 7th-8th grade reading and writing classes, for just about every type of student (gifted, ELL, SpEd, etc.). My teaching style is very visual and discussion-based. I also like to build rapport with my students by empathizing during the hard times and celebrating when a goal has been reached! With that said, I can teach you just about anything when it comes to writing and up through high school for reading courses.
