I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology (concentration in Cell Biology/Physiology) and a minor in Biotechnology. There, I tutored college students in Biology, Chemistry, and Statistics and also worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Chemistry Department. Since graduation, I have worked as a Registered Behavior Technician where I teach functional communication skills to kids with autism. In the fall, I will be pursuing my PA/MPH degree at Yale University. My passion for tutoring sparked when I realized my deep value in the guidance that I received during my undergraduate years. I hope to be able to supportive guiding mentor for other students in that same way. While I have tutored many other subjects, I highly enjoy tutoring Biology, Chemistry, Elementary Math, and Test Preparation. My tutoring style is flexible and dynamic as I cater it to the individual needs of my students. I believe that because learning is a life-long process, it's essential to understand how to learn effectively and efficiently. In addition to teaching the content material, I make sure to guide students towards discovering their own learning styles and understanding the importance of the growth mindset. Most importantly, I show students how to have fun learning because I believe that's the best and most effective way to retain information.
