I earned a B.A. in Journalism/English from the University of Iowa and an M.S. in Effective Teaching, Learning and Leadership from Drake University's College of Education. I served students in the classroom and in philanthropy for over 30 years in Iowa and relocated to Colorado in 2013. Besides learning how to ski and serve tourists in the high country, I have found a community with a view and volunteer as a Trustee on my Town Board. Many of my son's friends and my younger co-workers call me "Ski Mom" and I find that bonding with my fellow humans to be an important first step. Why? So I can wrap the curriculum of any course I may tutor around YOUR interests to create meaning and motivation for us both. I tutor writing, literature, editing, photography, social networking, journalism, mac basic skills, study skills and organization. I firmly believe my students are my customers and I am thrilled when we work together to make learning difficult concepts easier and easier.
