My tutoring method is student centered. Any person who wants to learn French, English, has a purpose for doing so. That purpose, therefore, plays an important role in determining the focus and the content of the tutoring. The teaching and learning materials are books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, and web-based resources such as wikis, avatars, blogs, and relevant websites.
Considering the fact that computers play important roles in education today, I also teach basic computer skills. Such components of Microsoft suite tools as Word, Excel and PowerPoint are those I tutor most of the time. In addition, I tutor in Internet search strategies.
In order to render the tutoring in the languages practical and beneficial, students are made to do a lot of exercises. Depending on the focus and the level of the tutoring, it will be decided whether the greater part of the exercises should be written or oral. Placement tests are available for self-motivated students to determine their levels.
