I am a first generation graduate of Washington University in St. Louis. I received my Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Latin American Studies and Anthropology. Since graduation, I have taught 6th and 7th grade math, 7th grade Social Studies, and coached soccer. I have taught all classes in both English and Spanish and have experience working with English as a Second Language students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem improve faster when we work on problem solving skills in math. I believe that students must feel safe and comfortable in their environment first before expecting them to give me their full attention and focus. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. During my off time, I love visiting friends in other cities and taking my dogs on runs or hikes with me.
