I am currently a college student at the University of Texas at Arlington working on obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and expected to graduate in May of 2022. Before college, I attended Coppell High School in Coppell, TX from 2014-2018. Since I was in high school, I have helped my close friends and family members with a lot of their school-related work. From basic math concepts taught in middle school to SAT prep, I have experience informally tutoring many of the close people in my life. While I tutor a variety of different subjects, I specialize in tutoring all the math subjects; starting from elementary school math to Algebra and Geometry learned in middle school all the way up to AP Calculus BC learned at the conclusion of high school. In addition, I am also very knowledgeable about how to excel in the SAT, particularly the math section. I enjoy helping students improve in the respective subjects they ask for help in because I understand how hard school can be and I want to help them succeed so they can reach their higher education goals. In terms of the way I teach, I always first put myself in their shoes so I can understand their perspective of a topic. I think being able to relate to someone helps the learning process a lot and if I can view the subject at hand through their lens, I can figure out the best way to share my understanding of the subject with them. In my past experiences of tutoring friends and family, the time always seemed to go by fast because learning the subject became more engaging for them and we seem to have a good time as we progressed through the work together. I understand the education learned in school is important, however, I am an even bigger advocator of being able to apply what is learned from school to the real world. Being able to use what you learned in school, whether it be technical knowledge from classes or outside skills developed from personal experiences, can help make you a versatile individual and therefore help you succeed in multiple ways in life. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, playing basketball, hanging out with friends, editing and making videos, and just trying new things that can help me better myself.
