I love teaching everything that has anything to do with aviation. I love mentoring pilots and aircraft mechanics.
I wanted to be an airline pilot from under the age of 18 months, according to both of my parents. I was Flight Engineer, Co-Pilot, Captain, plus Aviation Maintenance student plus an Aerospace Engineering Student.
I hold five FAA Certificates. I am working to re-establish my aviator's medical certification. I had open-heart surgery December 17, 2017 because my aortic valve could never close properly. About a month ago I had an ablation to restore normal sinus rhythm. I seem to be doing very well.
Everything I did was to learn all about aviation. I asked questions constantly as I progressed up the ladder of success, ever learning. If you need to learn a skill in order to get additional training needed, I have taught aircraft pilots and mechanics.
I even taught aircraft mechanic students the entire five-week basic electricity course, including impedance computations and vectors requiring trigonometry (which I also taught as needed). When teaching impedance, I taught force vector addition of components of reactance measured in ohms along with pure resistance in ohms Inductive Reactance is a vertical component on the Y axis; Capacitive Reactance acts in the opposite direction, while pure resistance is measured along the X-axis. Reactance vectors are measured in ohms; but so are pure resistance vectors. Force vector addition of reactance components helped us find the total impedance direction and force.
My G.P.A. during FAR Part 147 Aircraft Mechanic School was 4.0; I also taught aircraft mechanic basic courses at another FAR Part 147 School for a year, including several five week terms of Basic Electricity.
I was a flight engineer, a co-pilot, and a captain. My FAA Knowledge Tests were almost always very high scores.
I hold a fairly recently acquired Instrument Ground Instructor (FAA Ground Instructor Certificate with Instrument Rating) but I also earned the FAA Flight Instructor Certificate Airplane Single Engine in 1980, adding the Flight Instructor Instrument Airplane Rating in 1982. I have renewed my Flight Instructor Certificate every two years or added another Rating. (In 2008 I earned the FAA Flight Instructor Glider Rating).
While I earned the FAA Commercial pilot certificate in 1980, it was replaced with the airline Transport Pilot Certificate in 1996 for L-188 and Multiengine Airplanes.
My ATP has pilot Ratings of Airplane Multiengine Land and the L-188 Type Rating while retaining Commercial Privileges in Airplane Single Engine Land and Glider. The Airline Transport Pilot Certificate replaces the Instrument Rating with standards that allow half the tolerances of the Instrument Rating, and made me an airline Captain. I have renewed my flight instructor certificate every two years since 1980.
I also hold the FAA Flight Engineer Certificate, and I recently acquired the FAA UAS Drone Pilot Certificate.
I have experience as a pilot and a Flight Engineer operating in the European environment as well as the North American environment.
I also completed aircraft mechanic school for aviation maintenance technician in 2011 with a 4.0 grade point average. I had learned a tremendous amount from my father, from Epps Air Service Aircraft Part specialists like Lamar Regan, and many Zantop International Airlines Mechanics. Can you properly discern when and how a VFR to IFR conversion has been done improperly? I was taught by knowledgeable Aircraft Parts dealer Lamar Regan and several A&P Mechanics.
Dad made the comment that I knew more than most Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics before he retired from the FAA Atlanta Flight Standards District Office as an Airworthiness Inspector in 1993; when I argued, he restated his position.
I am studying to also complete the five tests to earn the FAA Aircraft Mechanic Certificate with ratings of Airframe and Powerplant, having already taught aircraft mechanic students math, physics, aerodynamics, structures, and Basic Electricity including impedance analysis of trigonometry, force vector addition, and so forth. I was highly commended for asking questions of students so I could effectively tutor individual students as needed. A great tutor asks questions in order to find out how the tutor needs to tutor. I passed the General Knowledge Test and Powerplant Knowledge Test with very high scores previously, but they expired.
So now I am studying in order to do extremely well while I test for aircraft mechanic. I also wish to study for the Advanced Rating Add-On for Ground Instructor; I already hold the Instrument Rating for Ground Instructor.
Please allow me to question you and teach you!
I also am available for general military entrance testing exams tutoring.
