I am currently working towards my bachelor's degree in English--with an emphasis on creative writing--at Kishwaukee College. I've spent the last couple years tutoring students aged 11 to 23 on compositional skills, essay writing, and grammar. Literature has been my greatest passion since childhood, and I approach every session with an enthusiasm that has never once faded. Through reading, we gain empathy, and through writing, we gain the ability to pen our own experiences through a uniquely personal lens. For this reason, I particularly enjoy working with students on writing skills because it gives me the special opportunity to help them express their thoughts, ideas, and experiences. The joy of the written word is one I love to share. In my free time, I enjoy reading (particularly historical fiction), working on my novel, and having dance parties in the basement with my little brother.
