I am a graduate of SUNY Geneseo, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Special Education. I continued my education at SUNY Brockport with a Master's in Elementary Education. My teaching career began at Rochester City School district in Western New York as a blended/inclusion 4th grade teacher. I then moved to BOCES, teaching special education students in elementary and middle school.

Throughout my homeschool years, I continued to tutor other students as well as teach group classes at a local homeschool school where students met once a week for a variety of subject choices. I taught writing, science, logic, and many other fun classes. Combined, I have 24 years of teaching experience. Being part of watching children learn, is what makes this career so rewarding.

Recently, I have even enjoyed teaching adults as a health coach. I am passionate about healthy living with nutrition and exercise being at the core of what I do. I have been certified as a personal trainer and it has allowed me to also teach adults how to better care for their bodies.

I am excited to be part of Varsity Tutors and look forward to many fun and exciting learning opportunities.
