I love math, physics, and music--so much so, that during undergrad, I picked up a math minor for fun--and I get a kick out of tricking my younger brothers and friends into enjoying my occasional STEM spiels.

My perspective on tutoring aligns with the phrase, "simple terms, big ideas"; it's important to explain complex ideas in a familiar, relatable manner, and to engage students in such a way that not only keeps them on the same page, but also lets their teacher gauge where students' familiarities lie. Quite frequently, I worked one-on-one with fellow engineering students, family members, and even students with whom I shared my advanced math-minor classes, to explain homework, aid with test prep, and help with lab reports or projects, among other things.

Outside of academics, I fill up my free time with fencing, playing piano and guitar, gardening, and I've recently taken up surfing.
