My name is Meghan Tan and I am currently a sophomore at Cornell University studying Hotel Management.

I have three younger siblings all at varying ages and have helped them through NY Statewide Exams, NYS Regents, SHSAT, SAT, and college admissions applications. Their growth is not limited to academia; I had the opportunity of helping them with abacus competitions, NYSSMA, and ABRSM exams for piano.

Outside of my siblings, I was a volunteer teacher for Junior Achievement of New York, where I taught fifth-graders financial literacy and entrepreneurship. I also noticed how many high schoolers were not able to gain an education in business. AP Micro/Macro are the closest classes that offer an introduction into the business field and are mostly limited to high school seniors. I hosted a basic interview preparation seminar, and I was able to help fifty high school students discover and pursue a career in business. I was also the captain of The Bronx High School of Science's track team and was the first leader of the team to successfully coach five girls to win awards in pole vault.

My tutoring continues at Cornell University as a teacher's assistant for Quantitative Analysis (Excel Statistics), and I am able to cater to more business-related courses that were not posted (Human Resources Management, Hotel Operations Management, Business Writing, Managerial Accounting, Marketing Research, Hospitality Development).

As a student from The Bronx High School of Science and Cornell University, I understand the current student's difficulties to manage their workload. I hope to relieve students of this stress by teaching them learning strategies they can personalize to their own learning methods and improve memory and cognition.
