I am a graduate of Huntington University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten endorsement in May 2013. Since graduation, I have been teaching in a Title 1 public school in Huntington, Indiana. I taught 3rd grade for one year, and have been teaching Kindergarten for the last six and a half years. I have had students of all different ability levels and struggles in my classroom (deaf, learning disabilities, students with autism, students with behavioral struggles, high ability students, students with 504 plans). I have also had experience substitute teaching in all grades PreK-5th grade.

I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, actively participating the children's ministry and worship team at my church, and traveling with my husband!
