While completing my undergraduate degree I had the opportunity to work with many students from K-12 while completing observational hours, a clinical student teaching experience, and general tutoring. After completing my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Education in 2016 I worked as a middle school mathematics teacher. Over the years I gained a lot of experience teaching many of the mathematics subjects that are taught at the 7-12 grade level. I currently hold a Texas State Teaching Certification for 7-12 Mathematics with a Highly Qualified endorsement.

2017年我回到学校完成我的主人s of Science in Statistics and while doing so I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I taught courses in statistical methods and theory while tutoring many undergraduate and graduate students. My research interests include creating statistical methods to better assess student understanding and increase the quality of every students learning experience in statistics courses. I have authored a pedagogical R package which is hosted on Github and I am able to teach data analysis and coding in R from undergraduate level topics to graduate level topics.

I am now working towards my PhD in Statistics and I am very excited to gain some more experience through the use of Varsity Tutors. As a graduate student I often find myself applying many of the same concepts that I have been teaching my students and this really speaks to the applicability of statistics and mathematics. I can help students at all levels because I have been through all of the levels and learned the content while learning how to teach the content. As an educator I aspire to help my students achieve a high level of content mastery while ensuring that learning is fun and that students are motivated to apply what they have learned beyond their course. I am very passionate about quantitative literacy and I hope to change the world one student at a time.
