I am currently working on my Masters Degree in occupational therapy at Stony Brook University. As an undergraduate student, I studied biochemistry and really honed my critical thinking skills. During this time, I assisted many classmates with a variety of topics. I realized that I was becoming better and better at adapting to each persons learning style and making the material as simple as possible. This is at the core of my philosophy as a tutor. I use the skills that I have learned throughout various tutoring experiences as well as my health care studies. My graduate studies have taught me the importance of establishing rapport and trust as well as teaching each student using methods that work best for them.

I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing video games, reading, cooking, and going on relaxing walks. Helping others is what drives me. I like tutoring many topics, but really love math and science. To me, education is what enables us to take control of our lives. Critical thinking is useful not only in school, but in solving real-life difficulties. That is why I always focus on engaging the students problem-solving ability to master this skill. I am very patient, hardworking, and reliable. If a student does not quite understand a topic, I am always willing to take a few steps back and focus on the fundamentals prior to advancing.
