I have been teaching in one form or another since 1998: from college students at Ohio State University, to aspiring authors at private workshops around the country, to my five tween and teen children as they pursue their academic ambitions.

I have a diverse background of expertise in all varieties of history, literature, creative writing, and the English language, as well as a sincere, caring teaching style that encourages students to confidently tackle problematic subjects.

Sometimes the best way to memorize facts is through specific examples, quirky facts, interesting individuals, and stories that have staying power.
