I recently returned from working in France for 7 months as an English teacher at the Lyce du Golfe de St. Tropez and the Collge Victor Hugo Gassin. While there, I worked with 9th through 11th graders on improving their English oral expression, listening comprehension and written communication. In teaching my students I was able to incorporate both my native English capabilities as well as my French fluency in order to help students ameliorate their skills. In addition to my teaching job, I tutored individuals privately in my community with various English capabilities.

I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Anthropology of Global Health and the Environment and in French. During my senior year of college I worked as the Department of Romance Languages and Literature's French tutor. Throughout this experience I worked one-on-one with college students taking French 1 and 2 to help them improve their writing skills, comprehension abilities and accent/pronunciation.

I received my DALF (diplme approfondi de langue franais) C2 certification in December 2017. The DALF C2 is an official qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education certifying the highest level of fluency and mastery in French.

I absolutely love speaking French and what I love most about tutoring in French is to be able to watch students improve and develop a similar passion for the language that I have. As a native English speaker who has developed French fluency, I understand firsthand what makes the language challenging and find that this experience allows me to effectively aid students. I always tailor my tutoring to a student's interests and needs and strive to keep French learning fun and exciting.

Outside of tutoring, I love dancing, traveling and going to the beach!
