I am a current Sophomore and aspiring Education Major with a subject area in Integrated Social Studies. I attend John Carroll University where I study as well as gain teaching/ tutoring experience through the Education program and weekly service through a group called We the People. It was in We the People that I truly developed my love for teaching and assisting kids. Likewise, I have a background in US Government/ Social Studies for Elementary and Middle School Ages. Furthermore, I would love to tutor social studies. In addition, I have a strong foundation in Elementary and Middle School math. Lastly, I am available for assistance in struggles with the ACT Standardized Test. It is an important assessment in the college process and I would love to help students seeking a higher score. Education is my passion, and I intend to make learning fun and interesting for others!

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

学习must be an intrinsic process that can be evoked through external motivations. My teaching philosophy is fun with intent. If material is relatable, appealing, and interesting to students, they will retain information and build from there.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a typical first session with a student, I would conduct a light pre-test in order to get a grasp on what the student knows and needs to learn. From there, I can create a plan in which to follow in order to work towards a goal.
