When I was 4 years old, I used to paint a lot and one day my older sister noticed that I made a giant painting on the wall while writing the word "Hello" in English in the center of my drawing. The interesting part was that back then I could neither write in Persian (my first language) nor I had any education in English. Since then, I have felt inspired by arts and languages to the point that later, my professional and academic life have pivoted on the latter aspirations.

I am currently a graduate teaching fellow at Boston University and I fully expect to complete my second Masters of Arts in French language and literature in May 2017. Looking back on my academic life, one might notice that the above aspirations intersected each other for a good cause.

From the moment that I decided to pursue a French cursus for my Bachelors degree in Iran (in Alzahra University at Tehran), the idea of working in an international environment excited on me. Being so enthusiastic and curious about my major, I joined a group at school. Here, students used to gather weekly and discuss their opinions about the literature and history of France. After two years, I was the head of the group and decided to publish a monthly journal about the French language in the university. The journal entitled ACCACIA and was mainly about French literature and poetry. Being successful in designing and editing the journal, the French department professors suggested that I organize a workshop for translation of movies with French language; it went very well and we had a handful of students attending the workshop.

After graduating from Alzahra University in 2008, I immersed myself in arts and in teaching methodology. In 2009, I enrolled in a 120 hours of training courses for Interior Design where I learned to work with Autocad and 3D-MAX. I also enrolled in teacher training courses (72 hours in total) during summer and winter of 2008-2009 in the Embassy of France in Iran, and I passed five successful courses (received certificates) which were so instructive and helpful and I gained first-hand knowledge about how to use immersive methods in a French course and how to use internet to animate a language class.

After the training period, I started to work as a part-time teacher in reputable language institutes in Tehran and as a part-time draftsman in an architectural consulting company, Kermanshahan, where I was responsible for preparing 3D plans for presentations.

Being enthusiastic about pursuing my academic studies in higher levels, I participated in entrance exam for Graduate schools in Iran and was admitted in Islamic Azad University at Tehran, being ranked two among more than 1000 applicants.

毕业后我的第一个硕士学位rench language and literature, I started to work as a contractual interpreter/translator in MAPNA Group which is a conglomerate of practical solution providers to cater the demand for electricity, energy and rail transportation in Iran and African countries. My responsibilities were mostly consisted of 1) drafting and formatting communication and documents with Francophone clients 2) Assessment and participating in available bids with Francophone countries 3) preparing and translating required documents into French 3) Helping to host Francophone Clients and interpreting during meetings with Clients as well as their Ambassadors. 4) I was also responsible for preparing presentations and advertisements in French language that was meant to be presented to French clients. All of which helped me to meet my expectations in languages and also in creative and artistic fields.

After two and a half years working as Contractual Interpreter in MAPNA Group I received an admission from Boston University to attend the Romance Languages graduate program. At BU, I was a French Teaching Assistant for four semesters.

During my career life, I was attempting to stay close to French and Francophone environments while I was also active in cultural activities; from studying new teaching methodologies to designing posters for literary conferences, I was always active in using languages for social purposes and I know that this is not the end of a long journey of experiences that I gained through my studies in Arts and in Literature.
