Experienced Intervention Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the primary/secondary education industry. I teach at Garfield Heights High School and coach for the varsity football program. Recently, I have completed additional coursework and classified as a highly qualified teacher in my district. provide intensive one-on-one instruction in all core subjects, social and communication skills. I consider myself as a patient and creative teacher who is willing to work with children at their pace and identify creative methods to challenge students to grow academically, behaviorally and socially.
I enjoy working with student's reading comprehension and strengthening their vocabulary because these areas impact other subjects for a student. I work with students on their reading fluency (accuracy and speed) and rote memorization (vocabulary) so they will be prepared to understand the vocabulary they will use in math, science, social studies, grammar and writing.

Besides my full time position as a building sub, I teach in other area school districts so I'm familiar with a variety of materials used. I am a certified substitute teacher in Ohio and soon will have my Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate Disabilities) license.
