I am an aspiring actress with a love of learning. I hope to share this love with every student I encounter. I attended Ouachita Baptist University where I worked towards a degree in theater. I have experience tutoring a fifth grade girl, and I've always been helping my friends with their homework and helping them study for tests. I tutor English, History, Geography, ACT Prep, and Math. I enjoy all the subjects I tutor. I teach with love and encouragement, helping the student to see and realize their potential. My hobbies include acting, reading, taking walks, and spending time with my friends and family.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to teach with love and encouragement. Help the student find the answer instead of just giving it to them.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would spend a first session getting to know the student and his or her strengths. Then, we would tackle any upcoming assignments or tests.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I would help a student become an independent learner by encouraging them to see their own potential and giving them the tools necessary to learn on their own.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

我发现the encouragement is a great motivator. If simple encouragement is not enough, I might work with their parents to set up a reward system.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

I would work with the student and help them see the ease in learning a new skill or concept. I would encourage them by letting them know that they can do it. I believe that everyone has the power to solve a problem within themselves.
