My name is Awa and I'm originally from Senegal, a French-speaking country. I have traveled for training purposes in the field of education and it took me to institutions such as the Ochonamizu University of Tokyo, where I was certified in early childhood education, as well as the Living Values Education Center in Oxford. In addition, I have trained teachers in African countries such as Mali, Togo, Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Senegal. For almost two years I lead the home-based childcare program at the International Institute of Saint Louis.

I am fluent in fluent in Wolof, French, and English. I have a lot of experience when it comes to teaching French from teaching and training teachers to establishing a French elementary school in Senegal.
My conception of teaching isn't the transfer of knowledge from teacher to student, but rather a teacher facilitating the student's gain of knowledge based on the student's environment and needs, while using appropriate and specific methods.
