I am a graduate of Southern University and I received my Bachelor's Degree in English Education. My Masters Degree is in Curriculum & Instruction with the concentration area as a Reading Specialist. As a Veteran teacher I have taught in various schools such as; inner city schools, suburban schools, and schools for at risk-students. Education is a valuable tool in which the foundation begins in the classroom where teachers enhance the knowledge of their students. My philosophy of education is based on children becoming life-long learners that involve personal experience, intellect, and individual learning styles. My tutoring consist of English and reading along with composition writing. I believe that children come to school with different interests and abilities, and it is our job as educators to meet those needs. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, dancing, and spending time with my family.
