My name is Cathee, and I am a California native. I attended the University of San Francisco, where I received my B.A. in Psychology, and I recently graduated from the American Military University, where I obtained my M.A. in Criminal Justice. This fall I will be attending the University of Maryland King Carey School of Law!
I have an array of tutoring experiences, beginning in high school when I tutored elementary and middle school kids in subjects ranging from math and science to social studies and English. In college I was an active research assistance, and assisted in student teaching. Even after college, during a volunteer trip abroad, I got the chance to help young children learn their ABCs in Spanish while concurrently teaching ESL classes to adult students.
Based on my range of experiences, both in academia and in tutoring, I am a strong advocate for tailoring my teaching style to a student's needs. I also strongly believe in teaching problem solving skills to give the students the tools to critically think with or without a tutor or teacher present.
