I started my second adventure into education in an Associate's program at San Jacinto Community College. Five years later, I returned to school for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Texas Health Science Center - Houston. Currently, I'm in a Master's of Nursing program at University of Colorado continuing on for a PhD.

I appreciate educators who are excited about teaching and model my teaching style after my expectations. Teaching to just pass a test is not my goal. I want to be able to apply critical concepts across multiple situations as healthcare is never simple. My goal is for your comprehension to be at a level where the student can teach someone else. I will work with you to understand your learning style and tailor to your needs.

My nursing experience has been in emergency medicine, critical care, intensive care including cardiac thoracic surgery, medical and neuro, management and holistic nursing.

Aside from graduate school, I have tutored an associate degree nursing student through graduation and I am a clinical adjunct for BSN nursing students in their final semester. I enjoy helping student nurses succeed and do my best to prepare them to succeed upon entering the profession of nursing.

I love the diversity of experiences that my students are bringing into nursing. Each of us brings a story that some patient is in need of.
