I am an adjunct college instructor with a PhD in Healthcare Ethics. I received a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2012. I have instructed undergraduate and graduate ethics courses, both in the traditional classroom and online. I have also tutored a variety of subjects, both in person and online. My background allows me to effectively bridge the gap between student abilities and instructor expectations. Not only do I assist students with developing and refining specific written assignments, but I also seek to provide students with the skills and resources to independently and confidently produce high-quality writing in the future. This includes ensuring that students can recognize and employ the features of quality and compelling writing, compose a clear thesis, construct a strong argument, utilize appropriate writing tones, apply the rules of grammar and syntax, and effectively integrate and accurately cite research materials.

I have also had an opportunity to mentor several students as they navigate the academic demands of college, assisting them in developing study skills and exploring future academic and career plans. As a longtime student who is passionate about learning, I enjoy helping students to realize their academic goals, especially while they are still in high school and have incredible opportunities for growth. A significant aspect of the transition from high school to college is preparing for entrance exams. As I have taken many high-stakes exams, I understand the frustrations and anxieties students experience when they approach these tests. Through my independent preparation for exams, I have identified tools for overcoming stressors while efficiently mastering subject matter and test taking strategies. I seek to share the insights I have accumulated over more than a decade of test taking and academic work to encourage and support the success of young people.
