I recently graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Biological Sciences and a concentration in Human Nutrition. I currently work as a Clinical Research Assistant at a hospital in NYC, and plan to apply to medical school next year for admission in the Fall of 2020.

During my time at Cornell, I was a tutor through a variety of different services. I started as a study group leader for an introductory biology course, a position in which I learned how to facilitate a productive, collaborative study group, and to encourage a growth mindset in the students I was working to improve their self-confidence and their belief that they could succeed. This position also taught me the value of having students explain things themselves; I learned how to ask strong questions to help students work through an issue with support. After that, I tutored biology, physics, and statistics through the Cornell Learning Strategies Center, the Athletics Office, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and privately. I'm really passionate about helping others learn and my favorite moments in tutoring sessions are always when a student finally understands a difficult concept that they have been struggling with. I really enjoy tutoring biology because it's a subject that I'm so excited about. I also took the MCAT just a few months ago, so would be happy to help with test prep.
