I had a focus on biology related subjects throughout college and my post-bacc program. I also have extensive experience in teaching chemistry and genetics.

I developed skills sets in epidemiological and biostatistical data analysis through the Icahn School of Medicine and hope to start Law School in the years to come.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to try and make any subject just a tiny bit more enjoyable for the student. Everyone has their own personal learning style and pace, and I try my best to adjust accordingly to anyone's needs.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I typically try to learn a little about the student. I ask about school and hobbies. I try to understand from where the difficulties of the subject are arising and go from there.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I do my best to not only help with their area of needs but to also learn skills on critical thinking to apply elsewhere.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

I usually find some common interests between the student and myself. If we continue to work hard, I encourage breaks where we can have discussions on those common interests and likes. I may even reward a larger break if we continue to work diligently.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

Practice Practice Practice. Within a reasonable timeframe. I would also try to give them new perspectives and on how to look at a said skill/concept.
