Certified Tutor

I first became interested in tutoring when determining career paths in college. I had the opportunity to tutor a high school student in Algebra and ACT prep. Helping him to conquer tough concepts in Algebra and prepare for college entrance exams only affirmed my passion to continue working with students.
After earning my bachelor's degree, I went on to become an elementary school teacher and taught fourth grade (all subjects) at a local public school in Clarksdale, Mississippi. After the district consolidated resources and the school closed, I seized the opportunity to work in higher education at the University of Colorado Boulder where I currently serve university students in Residence Life.
It's rewarding for me to give students the one-on-one attention that is sometimes lacking in the classroom. I enjoy watching them succeed and excel in their education journey.
I enjoy hiking and running with my dog, traveling internationally, reading, and watching football.
