I am a 24 year old college student of Psychology. I have been working in tutoring for almost five years, both at the college level, and with children K-8 grade. I love all the age groups, though the children especially steal my heart. My preferred subjects are Reading, Phonics, Literature and Spanish.

In my free time I enjoy hiking and working with animals, though a quiet day inside curled up with a nice book sounds like heaven to me as well.

What is your teaching philosophy?

Firm but encouraging. The most important thing is to connect with the students and work with them at their level, rather than at the level they "should" be.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
