Series 9 (or General Securities Sales Supervisor Qualification Examination Part 2) is a test administered by FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) to safeguard the investing public by helping to ensure that General Securities Sales Supervisors are competent to perform their jobs. If you are preparing for this challenging test, Varsity Tutors can help you find a qualified Series 9 tutor who can help you prepare.
The Series 9 is a 90-minute exam consisting of 55 multiple-choice questions. The content breakdown is as follows: 18 questions on Supervising the Opening and Maintenance of Customer Options Accounts, 19 questions on Supervising Sales Practices and General Options Trading Activities, five questions on Supervising Options Communications, and 13 questions on Supervising Associated Persons and Personnel Management Activities. Candidates must also pass Part 1 of this exam (Series 10) in order to earn a certification. In addition, candidates must pass the Series 7 exam before sitting for Series 9.
Your Series 9 tutor can design lessons that remain engaging without overwhelming you, helping you learn at your own pace. If you have a strong understand of sales practices but struggle with personnel management activities, your sessions can concentrate on the latter. Any questions you have can be answered promptly, helping you get the help you need when you need it.
FINRA exams sometimes use tricky wording that can throw test-takers off, but an experienced Series 9 tutor can provide practice exams and point out any deceptive questions to help you prepare for them. Completing the practice tests can also help identify where future sessions should focus, helping you improve the efficiency of time spent studying. Finally, practice tests may ease test anxiety by providing practical experience with the formatting and time available to complete it.
一位经验丰富的9系列的导师还可以分享测试-taking strategies that you can fall back on if you don't know an answer. There is no penalty for guessing on the Series 9, so you should attempt to answer every question in the time allotted.
