As an educator, I strive to do what is best for my students and work with them at their level to help them be successful. As a middle school math teacher, I have encountered hundreds of students in my six years of teaching and each of them felt that growth was achievable with the right mindset. This is my ask of all of my students, I understand that you may not grasp that skill right away. Be persistent. Be okay with failing. But never give up on yourself! This is where I can help you grow as a student.
I have a passion for math, specifically the Pre-Algebra and Algebra sections. I like to think of myself as an analytical thinker and someone that enjoys a great puzzle. Many of skill needed in math require thinking to be successful. This also builds problem solving skills.

A large interest of mine is my family. Everything I do, I do them. I enjoy taking my family on adventures. These range from near our house to cross country. Even though math is my favorite subject, I spend a chuck of my time reading. This is something that never will go away. I believe that we are learners for life and reading is a great place to learn! I also dabble with gaming. RPGs are my favorite as many of these games require some thought and strategy (tying back to math).
