Certified Tutor

I recently completed my masters of science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary. Prior to that, I completed my Bachelors of science specializing in Biotechnology from Queens University. Throughout the past six years I really enjoyed my mentorship and tutoring opportunities that I had. Throughout my undergrad, I had the opportunity to work as a learning facilitator in Mendelian and Molecular Genetics. The whole point of my role was to help my peers understand the genetics material. From this experience, I learned that I really loved teaching! From that I became involved with an organization called Science North. Through this organization I had the opportunity to teach younger children (aged 6-12) common science themes. Lastly, throughout my graduate degree I had the opportunity to teach and train graduate students and undergraduate students. Sharing knowledge and helping others learn new topics is extremely important to me!
