I received my PhD in Chemistry in 2019 from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro, New Mexico. I received my Bachelor of Science Special Degree in Chemistry from the University of Ruhuna one of the leading universities in Sri Lanka. Currently, I am working as a Scientist. I enjoy teaching very much and I have known as an excellent tutor at chemistry when I was at NMT. In Sri Lanka, I worked as an Assistant Chemistry Lecturer for two years at the Department of Chemistry, University of Ruhuna. I have experience of teaching general physical, inorganic and analytical chemistry subjects. During my time at NMT I mentored six undergraduate students, two graduate students and guided them with their research. One of those students achieved best researcher award in 2017. During my leisure time I enjoy exploring nature and hiking. My hobbies are hiking, cooking, meditation and listening to music. I am very good of making Asian and Mexican cuisines.
