I am a passionate administrator and master teacher with 20+ years of teaching experience and post-secondary training in education. In 1994 I received my Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Calgary with a major in Special Education. In 2019 I received my Master of Education Degree from the University of New Brunswick in Educational Leadership and Administration. I am skilled in grade 1-9 curriculum planning, instruction, assessment, individualized program planning, intervention strategies, and curriculum development which meets the needs of all students of varying ability levels. I have the vision, knowledge, and experience needed to effectively instruct, mentor, and provide timely and effective feedback required for student success. I tutor students in all subject areas in grades 1-9. Although my favorite subjects to tutor are English and Social Studies because I love reading, writing, geography, history, and traveling. I believe all students can learn and achieve success and if they are struggling then I need to adapt how I am presenting material/skills/concepts in order to better meet the student's needs. It is most important for students to enjoy their learning so be prepared to celebrate your success, laugh, smile, and achieve your desired goals when you learn with me!
