I am proudly Canadian "Qubcois" by adoption and proudly Colombian by birth. I am fluent in Spanish, French, Canadian French and English.
Spanish being my mother tongue,
I learned French in an immersion school named Lycee Francais Louis Pasteur, in Bogota.
I graduated in Computer Science while I was living in Toronto, Canada, where I also had the chance to improve my communication skills in English.
I began teaching languages at the Alliance Franaise, back in Colombia for about 2 years, and then I worked as an English, French and Spanish teacher at the Berlitz Languages Institute of Toronto, for about 5 years.
Since then and after moving to the lovely Qubec City in Canada, where I currently live, I kept informally tutoring languages as a complement to my job. Then, after having my son, I decided to make teaching my primary job.
Best decision ever! I try to offer a creative approach that could be fun and also effective, by taking advantage of media, learning games and engaging in dynamic conversations based on my students interests. I get the priceless satisfaction of doing what I love, teaching, while witnessing how my students grow and get passionate about the subject they are learning.

I'm an extrovert who likes all kinds of people, from all ages and backgrounds; I love kids, and I'm blessed to have a precious little boy whom I love with all my heart. Working with Varsity has given me the chance to get closer to valuable people and help them grow, by the means of teaching and tutoring. I love travelling while practicing the languages I speak and meeting new people from different cultures. I also like reading about astronomy, science, animals and nature. I love music, and I'm totally passionate about animals, whom I learn from every moment of my life.
