I graduated from the University of Regina with a BA with Distinction in Anthropology. I started teaching ESL in 2008 and taught for ten years in China. I taught students from 5 years to 80 years of age. As an Anthropologist I was able to share some experiences and knowledge to prepare students to go abroad to study, this included cultural differences and etiquette. I also taught IELTS prep for those students going abroad. It is very rewarding to watch the students language skills improve and the pride they take in learning. My philosophy to teaching is very simple; make it relevant to todays world, be patient and understanding, and above all else make it fun and enjoyable. Students of all ages and abilities produce better results if they enjoy and want to learn.
