I have a BA in Social Studies/Secondary Education and a Masters of Divinity. I taught in a public school for several years and now teach in a private setting. I have written several curriculums for children and have worked with all ages in education.

I am a big believer in discovery learning. I like to ask questions that help the student learn to find the answer(s) themselves. If I am doing my job well, I will work myself out of a job. I believe in using all learning styles when possible. I also like to find out how each individual student learns best to access their potential. I am an encourager and like to see people that I'm teaching "get it" or have that "ah ha" moment. I am great at reading and writing and hope I can help others enjoy it also.

I love being outdoors - particularly the beach and the mountains. I love exploring and going new places. I have traveled to 5 of the 7 continents. I learn so much by traveling and experiencing other cultures. I am a lifelong learner, myself. I love to research and find things out in order to share with others - and sometimes just for my own knowledge. My current subject of interest is British History. I love learning about the Middle Ages, in particular. There is hardly a documentary I haven't seen about it!
