Certified Tutor

I attended The University of New England and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology. Before my graduation, I had extensive experience tutoring biochemistry and other topics within the sciences. After graduating, I have continued teaching basic reading skills and mathematics to adult students with the Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford. While I am currently applying to medical school, I am also working as a Research Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital. Additionally, I am continuing to maintain the Firefighter and EMT certifications that I have used extensively over the last seven years. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology, Chemistry, Critical Reading, and Writing. In my experience, thoroughly understanding these topics will prepare students for standardized tests such as the SAT or MCAT (both of which I have taken). Overall, I love helping students of any level achieve their academic aspirations.
