It was my 5th-grade teacher who taught me that the words I am holding in my head are going to mean something to someone one day. I didn't know what she meant but as I started to think about it I eventually realized she was talking about my ability to write. She saw some slumbering potential in me and knew one day I would do something with it. I didn't become a writer but what I did accomplish was to become someone who inspires others to use the art of writing as a tool to help cope or reach out to someone in need. I love what I do because it has fueled my passion for writing, and I could not think of a better way to spend my life than to teach others the joy of the written word.
