I graduated the University of Pennsylvania as an Adult Nurse Practitioner >20 years ago. Last year I went back there to finish a post-grad in gerontology. In Sept. 2020 I passed the exam to credential in hospice & palliative care. I'm an education junkie :) I sat the ANCC boards last year so I'm current with what they cover. As with most standardized tests, it is more a matter of learning what the board wants than clinical specifics (although there is some stuff you just have to drill) and there is a pattern to that. I'm happy to reinforce specific concepts- often with humor, pneumonic device, stories and anecdotes, but find students get more out of learning how to 'play the game'. I can teach you the game.

I enjoy discovering how each student learns best and leveraging that to their advantage. Let's try to make it fun, oriented toward your particular needs and as efficient as possible. That's the value of 1:1 tutoring.

I have been a clinical preceptor for many NP students over the years and include board prep in their clinical work. I've homeschooled my daughter from pre-K through college and she is now a pre-medicine major and I was the 'science-mom' for our local homeschool group being authorized by the college board to teach both AP Biology and AP Environmental Science.
