Certified Tutor

I recently completed an M.A. in Teaching Diverse Learners (dual endorsement: Special Education and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse education) at the University of Northern Colorado. I am licensed in Colorado (Elementary Education K-6), I have a TESOL certificate (IOA 120 hours), and I am trained in Orton-Gillingham (K-6).

In addition, I have an M.A. in Teaching from the University of Southern California (Elementary Education K-5), a graduate certificate in College Teaching and Learning, an M.S. in Administration of Justice, and a B.S. in Criminal Justice.
I believe that every person has the potential to be a capable learner. I also think that the best leaders are born from having to work diligently and tirelessly to reach their goals.

I have abundant passion and tenacity for teaching all learners. I am a cheer-leader for my students. And I am a champion for ideals that foster change and encourage self-confidence in my students.

One of my strengths is creating moments for student to seek out novel ways to answer questions, to shift paradigms so they can critically assess concepts, and use lateral thinking strategies to engage with their learning process in the most effective and individualized way.
