I believe that each student I work with has the potential to achieve greatness. I make sure that students know that these tests are important for college, but that the numbers should not define them. Though I always see great progress on the college prep (ACT and SAT), I really enjoy working with students on their college essays. I find that students really share their passion when they write these-but it takes some coaxing to have their unique personalities shine. To prepare each student for the college prep tests, I work with each student to understand his/her learning styles and then adapt my teaching style to fit his/her needs.
I graduated from Yale with a BA in English and from Columbia University with an MBA in Marketing/Finance and worked in the corporate world for over twenty years. I became an entrepreneur and have loved the life I have led-I have raised four (now grown) children, and have a dog (large labradoodle who likes to sail) and a husband. We have recently relocated from New Jersey to Edgartown, MA. I love to read, travel and hang out with my family. I truly enjoy working with students and love seeing their progress and the confidence that progress gives them.
