Hello, and welcome to Varsity Tutors. I've helped students pass the following exams with great success after 24h of consistent tutoring: educational teacher licensure exams (K-12: Reading, SS, SC all section subsets, Math (k-9), all PE&PEH) medical/professional (Audiology/SLP) as well as a few others, including (Theatre,Art,AP courses, ACTprep, ISEE) specifically the FTCE, CSETs, MTTC, NYSTE, OAE state exams, Praxis, and Pearson exams.
I look forward to helping you pass your upcoming exam(s). I enjoy teaching/tutoring educational/ professional exams. I have over 25y of experience within education. I passed 8 state exams within education on the first attempt (K-8 subject matters, K-12 PE/Health& Wellness & obtained the Health Endorsement added to my license); therefore, I completely understand how important preparation is to passing your exam(s). I'm credentialed as highly qualified in K-6 subject matters. Most importantly, I have a Master's Degree in Education:Curriculum & Instruction from an accredited private university.
Since joining VarsityTutors, I've helped all teachers pass on completion of our 12-24h sessions. Therefore, I highly recommend a minimum of 12 hrs per exam content to help ensure the time needed for a thorough review of material. As well as, adding additional tutoring hours as needed prior to your exam. I believe the investment is worth your time.

I decided to become an educator while raising my family and have loved it ever since. I earned a Master's Degree in Education (Curriculum & Instruction), with a 4.0 for each subject/course. Then, I taught K-8 reading/honors and tech skills in GA and TN. In 2016, I obtained the state Health Endorsement (K-12), because I have a passion for health/wellness. For many years and currently, I tutor test preps (since 2006), teach seminars at the colleges (since 2017), and grade state educational exams (since 2009). With years of experience and education, I would absolutely enjoy helping you accomplish your goals. I am dedicated to providing strategies to help you do well with test taking for any state exams.
Our sessions will consist of an introduction to tutoring methods, an overview of your test specifications and competencies needed to pass. We'll set up the best schedule for us to meet prior to testing. Then, during the remainder of our sessions, I will put together and present multiple QA/videos for completion. I recommend searching for the information and writing notes as needed during sessions to help retain information, which will in turn help you to select the correct answers on your exam. I love playing tennis with my family. We enjoy listening to a variety of music, watching movies, shows. And,.. reading, playing mancala, uno, checkers, etc ..learning new information is always beneficial. I also enjoy helping students, families, and teachers alike to better their lives by passing a needed exam as soon as possible, to relieve the worries and stress of studying, spending additional monies, and taking time away from their lives.
